Mr. Tonooka joined Cranes Capital Group in 2009. Before joining the firm he was a Principal at TPG Capital where he led it’s private equity investment activities in Japan. Mr. Tonooka started his career as an Analyst at Lehman Brothers Japan’s M&A Strategic Advisory Group and joined Goldman Sachs Japan in 2000 after graduating from Kellogg Graduate School of Management (MBA) with dual majors in Finance and Real Estate.
Mr. Tonooka graduated with a BA in Environmental Information from Keio University in 1994.
Tomohiro Suzuki

Head of Real Estate
Mr. Suzuki has been with Cranes Capital Group since 2008. Before joining the firm he spent his career at the Structured Finance Group and the Capital Markets Group of Mizuho Securities. At Mizuho Securities, he was engaged in structuring real estate investment funds and securitizing mortgage-backed loans, and worked on multiple equity financing projects.
Mr. Suzuki graduated from the Graduate School of Science and Engineering at Waseda University in 2002.
Kendo Watanabe

Mr. Watanabe has been with Cranes Capital Group since 2006. Prior to joining the firm he was with Intelligence Ltd. where he played a key role in multiple M&A transactions and founded Site Flight, an executive search firm, in 2000. Mr. Watanabe started his career at the Corporate Finance Division of the Long-term Credit Bank of Japan where he covered Japanese communications companies.
Mr. Watanabe graduated with a BA in Law from Hokkaido University in 1995.

Katsuhide Tsuruta
Representative of Cranes Capital Group
Founding Partner
Katsuhide Tsuruta is representative of Cranes Capital Group and Founding Partner of
the group. Mr. Tsuruta founded Cranes Agency Co., Ltd., the origin of Cranes Capital
Group today, in 1991. Since then, Mr. Tsuruta has committed himself to revitalizing Cat
Street in Harajuku, Tokyo and has been involved in numbers of projects in the area. He
has also been investing in self-developed commercial real estate in Cat Street and as
well as in other alternative assets in the past 30 years.
Mr. Tsuruta begun his career at the Asset Management Division of Recruit Cosmos Co.,
Ltd. (predecessor of Cosmos Initia Co., Ltd.) in 1988. At Recruit Cosmos, he was
engaged in planning, developing and marketing of commercial real estate and real estate
for investments.
Mr. Tsuruta is a graduate of St. Paul’s University (Rikkyo University) with B/A in
Sociology.
